Ladies, and Gentlemen, I bring to you a Cameroonian Traditional Wedding I really enjoyed documenting. This event was held at the Vikings center in Burtonsville, MD and it was an affair to remember. Lilian, and George are one of a kind. The love, affection, and connection between this couple is truly inspiring. Lilian is a sweetheart, and George a true gentleman. Both of them are blessed to have each other.
If you have never been to a Cameroonian traditional wedding before, it is full of culture, vibrance and several traditional artifacts and ceremonies. Their traditional wedding day was simply beautiful and I was so honored to share in their joy.
As you can see above, the bride, and groom and their quad didnt come to play. They were very lively, and their outfits were dope.
Now, the ceremony proceeds….
There are so many rituals that occur during a traditional wedding. One of them is that during this event, the bride is given a drink that she must only share with her groom. She must find her groom in the room full of men and give him this drink.
Also, family members from both sides attend the traditional wedding. There is no guest list and usually no limit on how many people can attend a traditional wedding.
Congratulations to the Couple, and may God continue to bless their union.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your traditional wedding ceremony.
